Naturalist and Benedictine monk Mikuláš Pavol Brikcius discovers the Budiš spring.
1776
Discovery of the source of Gemerka precious mineral water.
1929
Hebda, a dowser, discovers the Fatra precious mineral water spring.
1930
The first chemical analyses confirm the exceptional composition of Fatra – the precious, alkaline soda-carbonate water with a rich carbon dioxide content is unique in Slovakia, as well as the world.
1935
Fatra mineral water starts to be bottled in glass bottles and enters distribution throughout Slovakia.
1967
Construction of a new bottling plant and administrative buildings in Budiš begins.
1979
Budiš begins to be bottled in glass bottles and the mineral water reaches all corners of Czechoslovakia.
1989
The first imported PET bottles appear on the market, and the gradual start of our own production of PET bottles arises.
1998
The even more concentrated Fatra Extra natural resource starts to be exploited and bottled.
2002
Gemerka begins bottling and establishing nationwide distribution.
2011
Merger with Zlata Studňa and establishment of Slovenské pramene a žriedla, a.s.
2015
Fatra starts to be bottled in “Crystal” bottles, which wins the Packaging of the Year and Czech Grand Design awards.
2017
A new production plant in Luka and a bottling plant with greater capacity in Gemera are launched.
2019
The company changes its name to Budiš a.s.
2021
Zlatíčko baby water records the largest ever export of Slovak water abroad and the first transport by rail to China with a volume of more than 700,000 liters.
